Oakbloom Capital was founded by Fredrik Ekblom following a career spanning over 25 years in the Nordic financial industry, specialising in savings, investments, fund, pension and insurance products.

Fredrik spent 17 years at Swedbank within the Group’s Swedish insurance company, before serving as CEO of Nordnet Pension with Group-wide responsibility for Nordnet’s Nordic pension and insurance business.

We are a boutique management consulting firm dedicated to the Nordic fund, pension and insurance markets. We provide senior strategic counsel across the full value chain – from product and investment offering design and pricing strategy to distribution, market entry and competitive analysis. Our clients include insurance companies, insurance intermediaries, asset managers and international PE and VC firms seeking deep market insight or support in evaluating acquisition opportunities in the Nordic region.
